Easy, accurate, and compliant. Verify your water safety between full risk assessments with HSRA’s UKAS-accredited sampling service.

The Importance

Why Regular Testing Matters

Legionella and Pseudomonas bacteria can form in almost any building’s water system. Routine testing provides proof that temperature control, flushing, and disinfection are effective - giving you documented evidence for CQC inspections, insurers, and HSE audits.

Testing helps you:

Detect early signs of contamination before they become outbreaks

Demonstrate due diligence and compliance

Protect residents, staff, and visitors

Avoid costly remedial work later

Understanding the Risk

Legionella vs Pseudomonas - Why Test for Both

  • Legionella causes Legionnaires’ disease via aerosol inhalation from showers, taps, cooling towers and cooling systems.
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa spreads through contact and colonises biofilms in cold outlets, posing a serious risk in health and safety.
  • The two bacteria thrive in different conditions and require different remedial actions if detected.
  • Testing for both provides full assurance that your controls are working.

Good contact to say when they would arrive on site with information up front on what they would need to complete the risk assessments. Once received the risk assessments were easy to read and the 'to do' tasks were explained to ensure we remained compliant. Very competitively priced as well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service - contacted last minute on Tuesday as needed some risk assessments carried out by today (Friday) for a regulatory inspection. Max arranged for an assessor to come to site this morning, first thing before the building got busy with staff and patients (we are an NHS premises). The assessor was polite, friendly, professional and helpful with useful suggestions. We were on a really tight deadline and the risk assessment reports were sent over well within the deadline, they look professional and thorough and only a couple of actions were highlighted (which we have already carried out). I have already recommended HSRA to several of my peers. Thank you

Using HSRA to do our Fire Risk Assessment was simple, we sent our address and within an hour we had a quote once their team checked the site on google maps. An Appointment was made for their surveyor to arrive and inspect the property. The Report arrived a couple of days later with a information for every part of the business including guidance on what to do in those areas that were not up to scratch. A big thanks to Max and his team at HSRA
